Week of October 1-7, 2025: âAI Goes Full Hollywood (And Hollywood Goes Full Meltdown)â
đŹ TOP STORY: Hollywoodâs Having a Meltdown Over a Fake Person (Tilly Norwood)
In the most 2025 thing to happen this week, Hollywood is losing its collective mind over an AI âactressâ called Tilly Norwood, created by Dutch comedian and technologist Eline Van der Velden. The creator claims multiple talent agencies are in talks to sign her AI creation. Yes, you read that right â talent agents want to represent pixels.

SAG-AFTRA condemned the AI creation on September 30, stating âTilly Norwood is not an actor, itâs a character generated by a computer program that was trained on the work of countless professional performers â without permission or compensation.â
The backlash was swift and brutal:
Whoopi Goldberg opened The View saying: âYou can always tell them from us. We move differently, our faces move differentlyâ
Emily Bluntâs reaction on the Variety podcast: âGood Lord, weâre screwed. That is really, really scary. Come on, agencies, donât do thatâ
Melissa Barrera posted: âHope all actors repped by the agent that does this, drop their a$$â
Actor Chelsea Edmundson delivered the most pointed critique: âNot surprised that the first major âAI actorâ is a young woman that they can fully control and make do whatever they want.â
