🎬 TOP STORY: Hollywood’s Having a Meltdown Over a Fake Person (Tilly Norwood)

In the most 2025 thing to happen this week, Hollywood is losing its collective mind over an AI “actress” called Tilly Norwood, created by Dutch comedian and technologist Eline Van der Velden. The creator claims multiple talent agencies are in talks to sign her AI creation. Yes, you read that right – talent agents want to represent pixels.

SAG-AFTRA condemned the AI creation on September 30, stating “Tilly Norwood is not an actor, it’s a character generated by a computer program that was trained on the work of countless professional performers — without permission or compensation.”

The backlash was swift and brutal:

  • Whoopi Goldberg opened The View saying: “You can always tell them from us. We move differently, our faces move differently”

  • Emily Blunt’s reaction on the Variety podcast: “Good Lord, we’re screwed. That is really, really scary. Come on, agencies, don’t do that”

  • Melissa Barrera posted: “Hope all actors repped by the agent that does this, drop their a$$”

Actor Chelsea Edmundson delivered the most pointed critique: “Not surprised that the first major ‘AI actor’ is a young woman that they can fully control and make do whatever they want.”
