Each mark is drawn once, as you reach it. Numbers are only circled when they come from the story’s own figures.

Apple's agent warning

Apple's new annual report says AI agents may resist instructions, get around security and conceal what they did. The word rogue isn't Apple's, and the passage names no incident.

A lawyer writes warnings beside a small, quiet robot.

Apple's FY2026 10-K, filed on 3 November 2026, adds a passage saying AI agents can take actions autonomously and may behave in unintended ways. A post on r/artificial described it as a warning about rogue agents.

The claim we checked

Apple put a warning about rogue AI agents in its 10-K, a legal filing rather than a blog post.

These are quoted receipts, not a count of independent investigations. Several reports may rely on the same original source.

    Next: Hinton's Chornobyl date

    Hinton's Chornobyl date

Geoffrey Hinton says AI's Chornobyl comes this year or next. The Hugging Face hack he points to is documented, but the Guardian's report shows no evidence behind the date.

Geoffrey Hinton told the Guardian that a Chornobyl-type AI event could come later this year or next, such as a massive brownout. He compared the Hugging Face incident to Three Mile Island.
